Vegan onion burger

The tastiest vegan burger you will ever make with an onion.

Ingredients

  • 2 burger buns
  • cabbage-pepper salad
  • 2 tbsp vegan mayo or vegan yogurt sauce

for the marinade (if you want)

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic

for the onion burger

  • 1 big onion cut in slices (4)
  • 1/2 cup almond or chickpea flour
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt
  • a little flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions 

  • Start by mixing all the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl. Dip in the onion slices and leave for 20 minutes. This step is not mandatory but I recommend it.
  • Put the flour in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, mix the chickpea flour, corn flour, salt and water.
  • Put the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  • Dip your slices in flour, then in the chickpea mixture and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 200C for 30 minutes. In the middle of the time, turn your "burgers".
  • Take out and prepare your burger as you wish.
