A wonderful, hearty meal perfect for this time of year.
- 1/2 cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 2 onions
- 1 green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 1 tomato
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 celery
- 1 vegetable cube
- salt
- spice mix
- turmeric
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup wild rice
Start by heating the olive oil in a saucepan. Add all the vegetables except the cabbage. Sauté for 6-7 minutes. Add the cabbage and 4 fl. hot water. Add salt and spices and 1 cube of vegetables. Pour in the tomato paste.
Mix and let the ingredients cook for 10 minutes on medium heat. Add the rice and cook for another 15-20 minutes. If necessary add a little more water.
Your meal is ready.
Cover with a dry towel for 10 minutes to absorb excess liquid, uncover and enjoy.
