The necessary blanching must be done! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who don't know (not all of us are mastetchefs) blanching is boiling the potato for a short time. After boiling them, we briefly transfer them to a bowl full of ice cubes to stop the boiling process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then let the potatoes dry and cool. And store them in the freezer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And now everything in more detail...<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We start from the fact that you can store potatoes whole, cut into cubes or cut in any way you want.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Peeling<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This step is not necessary. If your potatoes are  organic, you can not peel them. Blanching&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fill a pot with water and add some salt. Once the water boils, add the potatoes. Blanching time depends on how big or small your potatoes are. If they are diced or cut into small pieces then 3 minutes is enough. If they are whole, then they need around 10 minutes. Remove them from the boiling water and immediately transfer them to a bowl of ice to stop the cooking process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leave them in a large colander to dry and cool completely.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>3. Freezing&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transfer your potatoes to a piece of parchment paper or aluminum foil in the freezer. Leave them for at least 4 hours or even overnight until they are frozen.
