In order to make the easiest 5-minute oat buns, you will need the simplest ingredients that you surely already have in your kitchen.

INGREDIENTS AND SUBSTITUTIONS

The ingredients you will need are only 3 and they are also very simple.

EGGS: The recipe calls for two eggs and these make the buns super protein rich.

OATS: You will need oat flour, not flakes. Flakes won't work for you.

BAKING POWDER: Baking powder is also essential.

SALT: Salt is not necessary. I personally want it. You can add other spices such as paprika, black pepper or oregano to your buns.

THE PROCESS

Please read the instructions below carefully because I have tried making these buns many times before I really got them perfect.

Start by watching your mix. You don't want it to be watery. It should resemble a bit of pancake batter. That is, it should be a little thicker.

Pour into your pan and have the temperature on low. Once you pour the mixture in, cover with a lid. When you see that the top of the bread is also slightly stabilized, carefully turn it over. Bake on the other side and your bun is ready.

When you cut it in half it may need a little more cooking on the inside. Put it back in the pan and cook both patties for 1 minute.

Your bun is ready.

Instructions

  • It is good to make each bun in separate bowls. That is, beat in a bowl 2 eggs, 3 tbsp. oat flour, 1/2 tbsp. baking powder and a little salt. Do the same in a second bowl if you want to make 2 buns.
  • Transfer the mixture for one bun to the individual pan and cook on one side at a low temperature. Cover with a lid and wait until the top of the bread starts to rise. Turn it over carefully and cook the bottom as well.
  • Do the same with the second mixture for the second bun.
  • Open the bun in half and fill it with whatever you want.
