If you want to always have a healthy snack on hand then these whole wheat crackers will become your new favourite.

To make them you will need only 3 basic ingredients: wholemeal flour, honey, olive oil. You will also need water, salt and whatever other spices you like and want to add to your crackers.

To make Italian-style crackers, add garlic powder and oregano.

To make your crackers hotter, add chili or paprika and salt.

The easiest and perfect crackers that you can make whenever you want a healthy and homemade snack.

Ingredients

  • 180 gr. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 60 ml water (+ 1-3 tsp more if needed)

Instructions 

  • All you have to do is mix the flour with the salt. Then add the honey and olive oil and 60 ml of water. Stir it up.
  • Add as much extra water as you think is needed. It may not be necessary at all.
  • Divide the dough into 2. Spread on a smooth surface a piece of non-stick paper. Put half the dough on top and cover with another piece of non-stick paper. Open with a rolling pin. Add some salt and whatever spices you want.
  • The thinner your dough is, the crispier your crackers will be.
  • With a knife, score creating squares. Bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 10 minutes.
  • See if they need a little more, but be careful not to burn them.
  • Let them cool slightly to become even more crispy and enjoy them as you like.
  • Do the same process for the second dough.
