One of my favorite recipes I've tried lately is this recipe for red lentil sauce.
It's one of those recipes with hidden vegetables and pulses that are also perfect for kids who don't easily eat pulses (like mine). Of course it's for us adults too.
INGREDIENTS AND SUBSTITUTIONS
Red lentils: Red lentils boil very quickly and this is perfect because in 15 minutes you will have ready the most nutritious sauce for your pasta.
Onion: Onion, like garlic, is not one of the basic ingredients. You can also not put it.
Tomato sauce: If you have your own tomato sauce you can use it. Otherwise, you can get ready-made from the supermarket.
Vegetable broth: Just drop a cube of vegetables into your hot water and stir.

Red Lentil Sauce
Ingredients
- 500 gr. tomato sauce
- 75 gr. red lentils
- 1 onion
- 300 ml vegetable broth
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- salt and black pepper
- 2-3 garlic cloves (if you want)
Instructions
- All you have to do is put all the ingredients in a pot and boil them all together, slightly covered, for 15 minutes. Essentially, you want the lentils that don't take long to boil.
- Put all the ingredients in the blender and beat them well. If the sauce seems too thick, add a little more water.
