The basic ingredients to prepare this very simple recipe are red beans, onion, garlic, corn, tomato paste, vegetable cream cheese and spices.

Tips and Substitutions

You can use classic white beans or black-eyed beans instead of red beans.

Instead of vegan cream cheese you can use classic cream cheese.

  • 400 gr. cooked red beans
  • 1 onion
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 3 tsp tomato paste
  • 200 gr. corn
  • salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 50 gr. vegan cream cheese
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil


  • Start by pouring the olive oil into a saucepan.
  • Once heated, add the onion and garlic. Once they are cooked, add the tomato paste and the smoked paprika.
  • Toss in the red beans and the vegan cream cheese. Add the water. Mix well.
  • Lower the temperature and cook until the water becomes a sauce.
  • Enjoy.
