Easy, quick, delicious baked bean balls that can be ready in 25 minutes.
You will need to make them cooked white beans (find them hereand boiled beets (find them here).
If you don't want them ready-boiled, you just have to boil them from the beginning until they are soft.
Tips and Substitutions
Instead of beans you can use chickpeas in the same amount.
Serve with a simple yogurt sauce by mixing yogurt, some garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl.
If you want your meatballs-croquettes to become more crispy, you should fry them in olive oil for a few minutes until they just take on color.

Oven Baked Bean Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup boiled white beans
- 1/2 cup boiled beets
- salt
- chili sauce
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 pinch of baking soda
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or oat flour
Instructions
- All you have to do is mash the beans and beetroot with a fork. Once they are homogenized, add all the other ingredients to the bowl. Mix well.
- Form 9-10 balls. Brush them with olive oil and bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for 20 minutes.
- If you want them to come out more crispy on the outside, you should fry them. Otherwise they will be soft but delicious.
