A very popular Catalan summer food.
Here I will give you the original recipe that is really very very tasty.

In Catalonia they enjoy escalivada with bread which they dip in the oil (of course I did not put so much olive oil in my recipe).
Is this a main meal?
In Catalonia it is eaten as a snack or appetizer. Personally, if it is accompanied by bread or put in a sandwich, it can become a perfect, light lunch that you can have at the office because it is eaten perfectly cold.

- Start by washing your vegetables. Dry them and put them on non-stick paper. Add salt and olive oil and wrap the paper.
- Put in an oven pan and bake at 180C for 1.5 hours.
- Take them out, let them cool slightly so you can remove the skin from the peppers and the eggplant.
