After the holidays and the little buzz of Easter we want to return to our good eating habits. These easy baked beans are ready in 20 minutes!

Beans cooked this way are delicious and full of nutrients. On the other hand they are an easy solution for you who do not want to go straight into the deep after returning from vacation.

How to make them?

First of all let me tell you that in my own recipe I used frozen beans. I left them out of the freezer for 10-15 minutes and then I mixed them with olive oil and spices before putting them in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.

In the middle of the time I mixed them and continued baking. Taste them at 20 minutes and see if you want to cook them a little longer or not.

Sprinkle with yellow cheese of your choice (vegan or not) and bake for a few more minutes until the cheese is melted.

How to combine them?

With protein of your choice! You can enjoy them with grilled mushrooms, eggs (if you are not vegans) or just bread. Personally, I really like mushrooms and other grilled vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 300 gr. green beans
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • 100 gr. vegan shredded cheese

Instructions 

  • Start by preheating the oven to 180C.
  • In a bowl, mix the beans with the olive oil, salt, black pepper and smoked paprika.
  • Bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove, sprinkle with cheese and cook for a while longer, until the cheese is melted.
  • Serve!
