Popcorn cauliflower! A very easy, delicious, sweet and at the same time spicy side dish.

It is eaten plain with a little bread, it can be put in sandwiches, pita breads and tortillas.

Tips

Instead of oat flour you can use regular flour or wholemeal flour in cauliflower popcorn.

Instead of chili sauce (which for me is what goes perfectly with cauliflower) you can use some hot sauce of your choice or ketchup and enrich it with spices of your choice.

The easiest cauliflower popcorn that even cauliflower-haters will love.

Ingredients

for cauliflower

  • 1 cauliflower
  • 65 gr. oat flour
  • 125 ml. water
  • salt, black pepper, cumin
  • 50 gr. breadcrumbs

for the sauce

  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 30 gr. chili sauce
  • 1,5 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions 

  • Ξεκινήστε ανακατεύοντας σε ένα μπολ το αλεύρι βρώμης, το νερό, το αλάτι, το μαύρο πιπέρι και το κύμινο.
  • Put the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  • Dip the cauliflower bouquets in the first bowl first and then in the second. Spread on a piece of non-stick paper in a baking tray.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 180C for 25 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Put the olive oil and garlic in a pan. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients. Put the cooked cauliflower in the sauce and mix.
  • Enjoy them with some protein or in a sandwich or pita bread with raw vegetables and some sauce of your choice.
